Expandagram is a free one-minute word game in the browser. You get a GRAM of three letters, such as T H S, and type words that contain those letters in that order, like MOUTHWASH or MATHEMATICS. The numbered Dailygram gives everyone the same GRAM each day, with a streak to keep, and Free Play deals new ones without limit.
About Expandagram
Expandagram started as a car game its maker invented more than 20 years ago; the creator, who has spent 16 years teaching in special education, turned it into a web game. The first Dailygram went out on 27 September 2026. The idea fits on one line: expand a GRAM to make words, with its letters kept in order.
A GRAM is three letters. Any word that holds those letters in the same order counts, with other letters before, between or after them, so W R D gives WORDPLAY, REWARDS and WORDSMITHS. A game lasts one minute. Each word scores a point a letter plus a bonus that grows with length, so MATHEMATICS on the GRAM T H S scores 11 plus 6. Each word can be used once, and a Shuffle GRAM button helps you see the letters fresh.
The Dailygram is numbered and dated, the same GRAM for everyone, and it changes at midnight UK time. You play it once; the game keeps your Dailygram history and your current and best streak on the device, with no account, and you can send a friend a challenge link to the day's GRAM that does not give away your words. Free Play offers unlimited new GRAMs. The maker lists plans for an untimed mode, more ways to play with friends and a larger dictionary.
It suits players who like quick word hunts against the clock, and anyone who enjoys finding long words that hide a few given letters.
