DailyMetro Washington is a daily guessing game about the six WMATA Metrorail lines across DC, Maryland and Virginia. Type any station and the game colours its lines, the direction to the target, the length of its name and its area green, orange or red, so you can close in on the day's station within 8 guesses. Map and Photo rounds use the same station.
About DailyMetro Washington
DailyMetro is a family of free browser games, one per city, made by Eliott, who builds these daily games as a spare-time project. The Washington edition covers the six WMATA Metrorail lines across DC, Maryland and Virginia and is played in English.
Each day has one hidden station and a day number, the same for everyone, and a new one comes at midnight Washington time. You start with any station you like and have 8 guesses. In Normal difficulty each guess shows four clues: the lines it is on, an arrow pointing from your guess toward the target, the number of letters in its name with an arrow for more or fewer, and its zone, such as Washington, D.C. Each clue turns green for a match, orange for a partial match or red for a miss, and from the fourth guess the game shows you the line.
Besides Classic, a Map round asks you to place the station on the network and a Photo round shows a station entrance. Connoisseur difficulty swaps the easy clues for traffic and name origin and drops the hints. Past days can be replayed, a streak counter tracks your run, and no account is needed.
It suits locals and transit fans who know the Metrorail by heart, as well as visitors who want to learn it one station at a time.
