Daily Orbs is a set of four themed matching puzzles each day, covering trivia, words, geography and science. Each puzzle asks you to pair items, such as English words with the language they came from, and every correct answer earns an orb toward winning the day.
About Daily Orbs
Daily Orbs, still marked as a beta, publishes four puzzles per date. It is run by Daily Orbs Inc., a company in Ontario, Canada. Each puzzle has a short instruction and a recurring title, for example Foreign Exchange (match each English word to the language it was borrowed from), Capital Gains (match each country or empire to a city that served as its capital) or Triple Take (find one word that fits three definitions). Series return with numbered editions, so regular players meet familiar formats with new content.
Each puzzle shows three orbs to fill and three hearts as your allowance for mistakes. Three correct answers fill an orb, and a right answer often opens a photo and a short note on the item, as in Chew or Shoe?, where each name is sorted as a baked good or a shoe. Collect enough orbs across the four puzzles and you win the day, shown in the row of orbs under the date.
The Prev arrow and the menu open earlier days, so you can catch up on puzzles you missed, and a share button copies your results. You play with no account. The site carries Google ads, and its terms mention ad-free accounts.
It suits trivia players who prefer matching and sorting to typing answers, and anyone who wants a varied general knowledge set rather than one long quiz.
