on puzzlega.me

The English Cryptogram on Puzzlega.me hides a quotation behind numbers: every blank with the same number holds the same letter, and a few letters are given to start. A new numbered puzzle comes out each day, the same for all players, and it plays in the browser with no account.
About Cryptogram (English, Puzzlega.me)
Puzzlega.me is a small site of daily browser puzzles, mostly in Japanese, including a crossword, a picture crossword called Collage, a spelling bee and a Japanese cryptogram. The English Cryptogram is its English-language edition, with its own numbered daily series: puzzle 307 was the one for 3 October 2026 and puzzle 323 the one for 19 October.
Each puzzle is a quotation in which a few letters are shown and the rest are blanks marked with numbers. Every blank with the same number holds the same letter, so a correct guess fills in all matching squares at once, and letters already placed are greyed out on the keyboard. You type with the on-screen keyboard or your own, move between blanks with the arrow keys, and the puzzle is cleared when every blank is filled correctly. The quote's author and the author's occupation are coded too.
The board fills the screen on a phone, with the keyboard below it; on a desktop the site's other games and an ad sit in a column beside it. The menu and the cross-promotion are in Japanese, but the puzzle itself is English throughout.
It suits fans of newspaper cryptoquotes, word pattern spotters and anyone who enjoys the moment a single guess opens up a whole sentence.
