on dailyjig.com

Capybas is a free daily logic grid on DAILYJIG in which you find where the capybaras are hiding. Each colour region, row and column holds exactly one, and no two touch, so it plays like a Queens puzzle with three lives. Everyone gets the same grid, with a new one each evening.
About Capybas (DailyJig)
Capybas is one of the daily games on DAILYJIG, a small site that also has a daily jigsaw and a memory game. It is played in the browser with no account and no download. The board is a square of coloured cells, seven by seven when we looked, split into irregular colour regions, and one capybara is already shown when you start.
The rules sit under the grid: one capybara per colour, one per column and row, and capybaras cannot touch, not even at a corner. Tap a cell once to mark it with an X, and tap it twice to reveal a capybara there. A counter at the top shows how many you have found, and three hearts are your lives, so revealing a wrong cell costs one. That makes it a Queens puzzle where each placement is a commitment rather than a pencil mark. A short tutorial walks a first-time player through a mini board, and a palette button changes the colour theme.
DAILYJIG releases a new set of challenges every day at 8:01 PM Eastern Time, and everyone gets the same ones. When you finish, the page shows your time, lives left and streak, a button to share the result and a countdown to the next Capybas. The site says it has no ads during play; a Buy Me a Coffee link asks for support instead.
How to play Capybas (DailyJig)
- Open Capybas on DAILYJIG; one capybara is already revealed.
- Look at the colour regions and find cells where a capybara must go, starting with the smallest regions.
- Tap a cell once to mark it with an X where no capybara can be.
- Tap a cell twice to reveal a capybara; a wrong reveal costs one of your three lives.
- Keep one capybara per colour, row and column, with none touching, until all seven are found.
- Check your time and streak, then share the result.

Tips
- A region that sits entirely in one row or column claims that line, so rule out every other cell in it.
- Once a capybara is placed, tap the eight cells around it once to mark them X, so you do not reveal one by mistake.
- Since mistakes cost lives, only tap a cell when you can prove it.
