Blind Tasting
Rate itOne dish, one country, four guesses to find where it comes from.
on blindtasting.fun

Blind Tasting shows a photograph of the day's dish and asks which country it comes from. You have four guesses, each miss is marked against the answer and opens a clue, and the round ends with a short note on the dish. Each numbered edition is the same for every player, and a day streak and a passport of countries keep you coming back.
About Blind Tasting
Blind Tasting is a daily food geography game laid out like a restaurant menu. Each day's edition carries a number and a date, and opens on a single photograph of a plate. You do not have to name the dish: the question is only which country it belongs to.
You get four guesses. A wrong country is marked against the answer (a guess on the right continent says so), and each miss opens the next clue, starting with the dish's continent. When the round ends the game names the country and the dish and gives a short paragraph on what is in it and where it comes from, along with a one-line verdict on how you did.
Everyone gets the same dish on the same day, and a new edition comes with each UTC day. A result card with no spoilers can be shared, the game keeps a day streak and win rate, and a My Passport page collects the countries you have played through. It is free and plays with no account; an optional sign-in keeps your stats and passport across devices, and otherwise your game data stays on your own device.
It suits players who like Worldle-style country guessing but would rather look at dinner than at a map outline, and anyone who cooks or travels and wants to test what they remember about where dishes come from.
How to play Blind Tasting
- Open Blind Tasting and look at the photo of today's plate.
- Type the country you think the dish comes from and press Guess.
- If you miss, read the mark on your guess (same continent or not) and the clue that opens below it.
- Find the country within four guesses, then read the note on the dish and the country.
- Share your spoiler-free result card if you like, and check My Passport for the countries you have collected.

Tips
- Look at the ingredients in the photo first: rice, flatbread or cocoa all point to different parts of the world.
- Think about the continent before the country, then use your remaining guesses on neighbours.
- Desserts and street food are often famous outside their home country, so do not guess where you last ate it.
Questions
Do I have to name the dish?
No. You only guess the country the dish comes from; the dish's name is shown when the round ends.
How many guesses do I get?
Four guesses per day's dish, with a new clue after each miss.
When does a new dish come out?
Each edition is dated by the UTC day, so the next dish arrives at midnight UTC.
Is it free?
Yes. It is a free browser game with no ads, and it plays without an account. Signing in is optional and only keeps your stats across devices.
