Food Guesser daily round 1 of 2 on 21 Oct 2026: a photo of haleem with cashews and lemon, its ingredients (beef, wheat, barley, lentils, ghee) and locked hints

Food Guesser shows you a dish each round, with its photo and ingredient list, and asks which country it comes from. Wrong guesses give distance and direction hints. A new set of dishes comes every day, and the game keeps your streak and past scores.

About Food Guesser (FoodieGame)

Food Guesser, on foodiegame.org, is a daily geography game played through food. Each day it shows you a dish, the same for everyone, with a photo and a list of its ingredients, and asks which country it comes from. The daily run is two rounds, scored up to 1,000 points each, and some dishes accept more than one country (haleem counts for Pakistan, India or Iran).

You type a country and submit it. A wrong guess tells you how far your country is from the right one and in which direction, the way Worldle does for its outlines, so you can close in over your tries. You get five guesses per dish. If you are stuck, the game unlocks hints as you go: the dish's name appears after three guesses, and the first letter of the country after four.

The game keeps your streak and your past scores, and it sits on a hub with other food puzzles, including a food crossword, a quick play mode with no daily limit, and the Foodzzle and Food Days features. It is free to play in the browser, with Google ads on the page, and needs no account.

It suits people who like geography guessing games such as Worldle and Tradle but want a tastier angle, and anyone curious about where a dish comes from and what goes into it.

How to play Food Guesser (FoodieGame)

  1. Open Food Guesser in Daily mode to see the day's dish, its photo and its ingredient list.
  2. Type the country you think the dish comes from and submit your guess.
  3. Read the distance and direction hint after a wrong guess to steer your next try.
  4. Use your five guesses, and the unlockable hints (dish name after three, first letter of the country after four) if needed.
  5. Play the day's rounds, then check your streak and score.

Tips

  • Read the ingredients for clues: a staple like a certain grain, spice or cured meat often points to a region.
  • Use the distance and direction after each miss to jump towards the right part of the world, not just a neighbour.
  • Save the hints: the dish name and the country's first letter unlock only after several guesses.
  • If a dish looks familiar, name the country while you still have guesses to spare for the second round.

Questions

Is the puzzle the same for everyone?

Yes. There is one daily set shared by all players, with the daily number following the UTC date.

Does it cost anything?

No. It is free to play in the browser, with a quick play mode and other food puzzles on the same site.
