Amist daily ranking #18 in play: Can you rank these moons by size, five moons from Triton to Callisto with up and down arrows, a 0:20 timer and a Lock it in button

Amist is a free daily ranking game in the browser. Each day everyone gets the same five items and one question, such as which moon is largest or which painting came first, and has 25 seconds to drag them into order. Exact placements score most, near misses score some, and a streak counter tracks the days you play.

About Amist

Amist gives you one ranking puzzle a day. The question sits above a list of five cards, with a topic tag such as Entertainment and Art or Science and Space, and a line that says how to rank them, for example by approximate creation year, earliest to latest. Each day's puzzle has a number, so players comparing results know they had the same one.

The round is short. You press Play when you are ready and a 25-second clock starts at once. You drag any card to a new spot, or tap its up and down arrows to move it one place at a time, then lock in your answer. If the clock reaches zero first, your last finished order is locked for you, so a drag still held at zero does not count. Your answer is final once it is in.

Scoring rewards closeness rather than only a perfect order. The best score is 100, and each item scores by how far it sits from its right place: exact, one away, two away, or three or more away. Exact placements matter most, so getting the top and bottom right still pays even if the middle is mixed up.

Amist plays with no sign-up; a Sign in button and a streak counter sit at the top of the page. Signing in keeps your history and puts you on the leaderboard, and past puzzles can be replayed in Practice, which never changes your official stats. The game started in October 2026 and says each puzzle is sourced, checked and playtested before it goes live. It suits players who like quick trivia and ordering games such as Rankle or Factle and want one that takes under a minute a day.

How to play Amist

  1. Open amist.app and read the day's question and how the items are to be ranked.
  2. Press Play when you are ready: the 25-second clock starts straight away.
  3. Drag a card anywhere to move it, or tap its up or down arrow to move it one spot.
  4. Release every drag before the clock reaches zero so the move counts.
  5. Press Lock it in to submit your order; if time runs out, your last completed order is locked for you.
  6. See your score out of 100, with each item marked exact or how many places away it was.

Tips

  • Place the items you are surest of first, often the top and bottom, since exact placements score the most.
  • Use the arrows for small fixes near the end; one tap moves a card one spot without the risk of a drag still held at zero.
  • Read the ranking line under the question before you start: it says which way the order runs.

Questions

Is Amist free?

Yes. It plays in the browser and the daily ranking needs no account.

How long do I have?

25 seconds from when you press Play. If time runs out, your last completed order is locked automatically.

How is Amist scored?

Out of 100. Each of the five items scores by how close it is to its right place: exact, one away, two away, or three or more away, with exact placements worth the most.

Can I play again the same day?

No. Your daily ranking is final once you submit it, and a new one comes the next day.

Can I play past Amist puzzles?

Yes. Past puzzles can be played in Practice mode, which shows your score but does not change your official stats or streak.

What time does a new Amist puzzle come out?

The game dates its puzzles by the UTC day, so a new ranking comes at midnight UTC.
