Games like TimeGuessr: daily where-and-when photo games
TimeGuessr gives everyone the same five photos a day to pin on a map and date to a year. The nearest games use the same where-and-when scoring; others drop the map and ask only for the year, or swap photos for 360 degree scenes and museum objects.

WhenTaken is the closest match: five photos a day, a pin on the map and a year on a slider, with the same set for everyone. EpochLens from Zalize works the same way with five historical photographs and up to 10,000 points each, as TimeGuessr scores them, and adds a fact about each picture after you guess. EraPin gives each day's five historical photos as a dossier, each with a written clue, and lets you buy hints with points. AussieGuessr, on YourLifeChoices, keeps the same where-and-when round but all five photos come from Australian history, so the map is one country. Picle, from The Times, is one photo a day from the paper's picture archive to place and date, and it needs a Times subscription. WhenTaken Movies swaps photos for film stills: pin where the scene is set and the year it takes place.
Geopoch asks the same two questions without a photo: five written clues a day to an event, a building or a work, each pinned on a 3D globe and set on a timeline against a 60 second clock. Whenere does something similar with three historical events a day on a 3D globe. Slangeum keeps the TimeGuessr scoring, up to 10,000 points a round, but the five things to place each day are slang words and memes: pin where each was born and pick its year.
If you are better at years than places, the date-only games are next. Chronophoto has five photos a day from 1900 to the present and up to 1,000 points each for the year alone. Which Year asks for the year of five photos taken between 1850 and 2025. What Year Was It? from TIME does it with five of the magazine's covers, each with a clue. Decade also shows five historic photos a day and scores the year alone out of 1,000 a photo. After each guess it tells you the real year and what the picture shows. From The Think's Timeline drops the pictures altogether: six events a day, each to date by year, scored on how close you get, and Chronicle Daily does the same with five written events on a timeline that runs back to 3000 BC. Headlines gives five real news headlines a day with the dates taken out, each to set on a year slider. Timeline's sister game Headline turns the question round, asking where in the world each of the day's real news headlines took place.
For something more like GeoGuessr (our guide to games like GeoGuessr (/games-like-geoguessr) has the place-only ones), HistoryGuesser, EraGuessr and WenWare put you inside 360 degree scenes from the past: look around, then pin where and set when. WenWare's daily needs you to sign in.
If you would like objects instead of photographs, Artifact Guesser gives three museum pieces a day and Anthropeum ten, each to place in space and time. Start with WhenTaken alongside TimeGuessr, and add Chronophoto for a quick years-only round. Every daily game about the past is on the daily history and photo games page (/daily-history-games).

Is there a version with 360 degree views?
HistoryGuesser, EraGuessr and WenWare show historical scenes you can look around before you pin the place and set the year.
Is there a where-and-when game without photos?
Geopoch gives five written clues a day to place on a 3D globe and in a year, and Whenere does the same with three historical events.
