Zeldadle Boss mode: today's boss, a one-eyed orange ogre, above the boss name box, with yesterday's boss #703 Frostare below

Zeldadle is a daily guessing game for Legend of Zelda fans. Each day it shows a boss to identify from an image and plays a song from the series to name, with stats and a streak for each mode.

About Zeldadle

Zeldadle has two daily modes so far. In Boss mode you see an image of a boss from the Legend of Zelda games and type its name, trying as many times as you need; each daily boss has a number, and the page shows yesterday's answer. In Song mode you listen to a clip of music from the series and name the song.

The home page lists three more modes marked as coming soon: characters, enemies and items, each guessed from an image. For now the daily session is two short puzzles.

The site keeps statistics for each mode: games won, average tries, one-shot wins, current streak and best streak, and you can share a line with your number of tries. It is free in the browser with no ads or sign-up, can be switched to French, and belongs to the same group of -dle sites as Valodle, Royaledle and Apexdle.

How to play Zeldadle

  1. Open Boss mode and look at the image of the day's boss.
  2. Type a boss name into the box and submit; keep guessing until you get it.
  3. Open Song mode, listen to the clip and type the name of the song.
  4. Check your stats and share your result, then return the next day for new puzzles.

Tips

  • Think about which game the art style comes from before guessing the boss.
  • Many Zelda bosses share names across games, so the spelling the game expects may be the most common one.
  • In Song mode, replay the clip and listen for the instrument: dungeon, town and overworld themes sound different.
