Wreflecto Mirror

Wreflecto Mirror, from Nowflux Labs, is built on the old word square: a grid where the words read the same across and down. Each day you get a square with the first row and first column already in place, and you fill in the rest. Because the square is symmetrical, typing a letter at row 2, column 4 also writes it at row 4, column 2, shown by a dashed border on the mirror cell.

Every row has to be a valid word, and duplicates are not allowed. When you complete a row, a check mark or a red X tells you whether it works. You move with the arrow keys or by clicking, and switch typing direction with a double click or the shift key. A timer runs while you play, and when you finish the game shows its own suggested solution, your time and your stats, including win rate and streaks.

A new square arrives each day at local midnight. Some days it is 4x4 and some days 5x5. Any set of valid words that fits is accepted, so your answer can differ from the one the game suggests. The web daily is free with no account and no ads. A paid iOS app from the same maker, priced at $1.99, adds unlimited puzzles, the archive of past dailies and offline play, and carries a second mode, Cross. It suits players who like crossword construction and puzzles such as Waffle or Knotwords.
