on wrdail.com

WRDAIL shows a picture made by an image generator and asks you to find three words of the prompt that produced it. Each word is labelled by its kind and length, such as a five-letter noun or an eight-letter location, and you have six guesses, with green and yellow letters as in Wordle. A new puzzle comes out every day, with an archive of earlier ones.
About WRDAIL
WRDAIL combines a picture puzzle with Wordle. Each day there is one image, made by an image generator from a short prompt, and three of the prompt's words are hidden. Your job is to work them out from what you see in the picture. The game is made by Adam Gluck and its puzzles run from the end of January 2026.
Each hidden word comes with a label that says what kind of word it is and how many letters it has: on a typical day a singular noun of five letters, a verb of five and a location of eight. You type into each row with the on-screen keyboard or your own, then submit all three at once. You have six guesses, and any letters are accepted as a guess, so you can use a word just to test letters. Letters turn green when they are right and in the right spot, and yellow when they are in the word but somewhere else.
The picture is your main clue: the subject, what it is doing and where it is are usually the words you need. Puzzles are dated by New York time, and an archive calendar lets you play days you missed. The page has no ads and no sign-up, and it works the same on a phone and a desktop.
It suits players who like Wordle but want a visual clue to start from, and anyone who enjoys describing a picture in as few words as possible.
How to play WRDAIL
- Look at the day's picture and think about how you would describe it in a few words.
- Read the three labels: each names the kind of word hidden (noun, verb, location or similar) and its length.
- Fill in a guess for each of the three words; any letters are accepted.
- Press Submit and read the colours: green is the right letter in the right place, yellow is in the word but elsewhere.
- Solve all three words within six guesses, or open the archive to play earlier days.
