words for days on 18 October 2026: the goal find tulip at the top, an empty grid board, and the starting inventory of earth, wind, fire and water beside the add and subtract toggle

words for days is a daily crafting game in the spirit of Infinite Craft. You start with earth, wind, fire and water and drag items together to make new ones. Each day has a target word to reach, and an add or subtract mode lets you take one item away from another as well as combine them.

About words for days

words for days calls itself an infinite crafting game: create new items until you reach the goal. The goal is shown at the top of the screen as find and the day's word, such as tulip on 18 October 2026. Your inventory on the right starts with just four elements, earth, wind, fire and water, each with its emoji.

You drag items together on the board to combine them, and each combination produces a new item that joins your inventory, so the list grows as you play. A large plus button toggles between add and subtract mode, which is the game's twist: you can also take one item away from another to steer toward the word you need. A search box helps you find items once the list gets long, and you can sort and shuffle it.

There is one target word a day for everyone, picked by your local date, with a countdown to the next one, a stats screen with your win streak, a share button that lists the steps you took to reach the word, a short how-to-play guide and sound you can turn off. The game is free in the browser, with no ads and no sign-up, and it lays itself out for a phone with the inventory below the board. It suits players who enjoyed Infinite Craft and want a daily goal to aim at.

Tips

  • Work backwards: think what two simpler things the target is made of.
  • Build basic materials early, such as stone, glass or wood, as many targets need them.
  • Try subtract mode when a combination is close but has an unwanted part.
  • Use the search box rather than scrolling once you have many items.
