Wordexo is a daily seven-letter word hunt from Greatest Games. Find as many words of four letters or more as you can from the seven tiles, always including the centre letter; letters can be reused. Longer words score more, every puzzle hides at least one septagram that uses all seven letters, and ranks from Novice to Wordexo mark your progress.
About Wordexo
Wordexo gives you seven letters on a wheel, one of them in the centre. Every word you make must be at least four letters long, must include the centre letter, and may use only the seven letters shown, though each can be reused as often as you like. Answers come from the Scrabble dictionary, and each day's puzzle is held to a fairly tight range of roughly two to four dozen words, so the full list feels reachable.
A four-letter word scores one point and longer words score a point per letter. Each puzzle hides at least one septagram, a word using all seven letters, worth its length plus 7 more. Ranks run Novice, Scholar, Wordsmith, Sage, Mastermind and Wordexo, each a share of the day's possible points, and reaching Scholar, about 10 percent, counts as solving the day and keeps your streak going. Bonus points on top reward a long streak, finding the septagram first or within 90 or 30 seconds, finding every four-letter word, or reaching Mastermind with no four-letter words at all; these feed a site-wide leaderboard total.
Wordexo is one of the daily games on Greatest Games, a site of word, logic and number puzzles. A new puzzle goes up every day at midnight US Eastern, the same for everyone, and today's plays free in the browser with no account or download. Hints and a give-up button sit above the wheel. The archive lists every past puzzle by date: a free account plays the last 7 days, and the paid Greatest Games Plus plays them all and removes the ads that the page shows other visitors.
It suits anyone who enjoys the New York Times Spelling Bee and wants a second hive a day with a smaller, more even word list.
