Word Drop is a daily word grid game. You join touching letters in any direction, across, down or diagonally, to spell words of three letters or more; used tiles clear and the tiles above them fall into the gaps. Bonus tiles multiply letters and words, and the day's top scores go on a leaderboard.
About Word Drop
Word Drop's daily challenge is a numbered grid of letter tiles, the same for every player. You tap or drag through tiles that touch, horizontally, vertically or diagonally, to spell a word at least three letters long, then submit it. Valid words clear their tiles from the board and score points, and the tiles above drop down to fill the gaps, so the board changes with every word. No new tiles come in, so the order you take words in matters.
Length matters most: a three-letter word is worth 100 points, a five-letter word 250, a seven-letter word 600 and a twelve-letter word 2,100. Letters also have values, from 1 for common ones up to 10 for Q and Z. Special tiles add more: 2L and 3L multiply a letter, 2W and 3W multiply the whole word, and a bomb clears the tiles around it for 50 bonus points each.
A new daily grid appears at midnight Eastern Time, and a calendar lets you go back and play earlier days, back to March 2025. Besides the Daily, there is a Weekly Challenge, a custom game with grids from 6x6 to 12x12, an optional timer, and a multiplayer mode where friends join by link or through a public lobby. The daily plays without an account; registering keeps your stats and puts your score on the daily and weekly leaderboards. The site is free and carries Google ads beside and below the board.

Tips
- Long words pay far more than short ones: a seven-letter word is worth six three-letter words.
- Save multiplier tiles for your longest words.
- Use bomb tiles to clear crowded parts of the board.
- Look for common endings such as -ING, -ERS and -EST among touching tiles.
