on tubl.uk

Tubl is a daily London Underground puzzle: one mystery Zone 1 station to find in five guesses. Each guess tells you how many stops away the answer is by the shortest Tube route, the compass direction to it and whether your station shares a line with it. Finish it and a harder Zones 1 and 2 station is waiting.
About Tubl
Tubl takes the Wordle idea to the London Underground. Every day there is one numbered mystery station, the same for every player (Puzzle #302 fell on 19 October 2026). The main puzzle's answer is always a Zone 1 station, but you can guess any station on the network, and the box suggests names as you type.
Each guess comes back with three clues. The first is distance: how many stops away the answer is by the shortest Tube route. The second is a compass direction, such as E or NE, from your guess to the target. The third says whether your guess shares a line with the answer. Each guess also shows coloured dots for the lines that serve it. Put together, the clues let you triangulate: a station two stops east on a different line, then two stops north-east of another guess, and the circle closes quickly.
You have five guesses, one fewer than most station games, so each one has to count. When you finish, the results screen shows your streak, your guess spread, how you compare with other players that day and a share grid. It then offers an Up the difficulty bonus: a second mystery station picked from Zone 1 or Zone 2, a much wider field, with its own results and share line.
The page is plain and styled after the Tube's roundel, with no ads and no sign-up. It also points to a featured creator's videos on the history of station names, and a tip button for the maker. It suits Londoners and Tube fans who know the network well; the direction arrow helps visitors who know the map but not every line.
How to play Tubl

- Check whether your guess is on the same line as the answer or a different one.
- Combine the clues and find the Zone 1 station within five guesses.
- After the results, press Up the difficulty for the bonus station from Zones 1 and 2.

Tips
- Open with a central interchange such as Oxford Circus so the distance and the direction both narrow things down.
- The main answer is always in Zone 1, so keep your guesses inside it even though any station is accepted.
- A Same line clue lets you count along that line by the stop number.
- Use the compass point to choose between stations at the same distance.
