Shattered Pixel Dungeon is a traditional turn-based roguelike in which you take one of six heroes down 26 procedurally generated floors. Alongside normal and custom-seed runs it offers a Daily Run, a dungeon seeded by the date so that everyone on the same version plays the same layout. Daily runs unlock after your first win and are scored with the game's detailed score system.
About Shattered Pixel Dungeon
Shattered Pixel Dungeon is an open source roguelike by Evan Debenham, who started it in 2014 as a rebalance of Watabou's Pixel Dungeon and has kept updating it roughly every three months since. You choose a hero (Warrior, Mage, Rogue, Huntress, Duelist or Cleric), descend through five regions of randomly generated floors, gather and upgrade equipment, brew potions and fight bosses.
Version 1.3.0 added seeded runs and the Daily Run. Each day there is one specific seed, taken from the UTC date, so two players on the same game version get exactly the same dungeon. The game records your past daily scores, and later updates let you replay a daily for practice. Dailies unlock once you have won the game at least once.
Score is based on more than depth: it counts exploration, boss performance, quests, treasure and any challenges you enabled, which makes a shared daily a fair way to compare runs with friends, although there is no built-in leaderboard.
It runs on Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and Linux. It is paid on Steam and the App Store and free on Google Play, where an optional supporter purchase backs the game, and none of the versions shows ads. It suits roguelike players who want a deep, turn-based game with a daily seed to measure themselves against.
How to play Shattered Pixel Dungeon
- Win at least one normal run to unlock daily runs.
- Start a new game and choose the Daily Run option.
- Pick a hero and descend through the dungeon one turn at a time.
- Collect, identify and upgrade items, and fight the bosses at the end of each region.
- Finish or fall, then compare your score breakdown with others who played the same day.

Yes, as long as you are on the same game version. The seed comes from the UTC date.

You need to win the game at least once before daily runs are unlocked.

Not built in. The game keeps your own daily scores, and players compare them with each other.
