Name the Formula 1 race from its finishing order: circuit and year.

Play Racerdle

on driverdle.com

Racerdle board at desktop size: circuit and year boxes, ten empty guess slots and the race classification with only positions and nationality flags shown

Racerdle shows the results table of one past Formula 1 race with the names hidden, only each finisher's position and flag. You guess the circuit and the season in up to five tries, and each wrong guess uncovers more of the table: the laps, then the constructors, then the drivers. The site counts down to a new race at 08:30 UTC.

About Racerdle

Racerdle is one of the games on Driverdle, a small Formula 1 site that also runs Driverdle, where you guess a driver, and a driver quiz. In Racerdle the puzzle is a whole race rather than a person: a Grand Prix shown as its final classification table.

At the start you see only the finishing positions and the flag of each driver's nationality. You choose a circuit from a list, type a year and submit. The circuit is marked green or red, and the year green or with an arrow pointing to a later or earlier season. Each guess fills in more of the table: the first shows the laps each car completed, the second the constructors and the third the driver names. The board has five guess slots, although the rules box says four attempts.

The flags alone are a strong clue for a fan who knows the grids of each era: a run of German, Finnish and Brazilian finishers points to a different decade than a field led by Dutch and British drivers. The laps column then separates a full-distance race from one cut short, and the constructors narrow the season further.

The site says its games reset at 08:30 UTC, but the race is written into the page's code, and in October 2026 the same race was served for several days in a row. Racerdle suits Formula 1 followers who know the sport's history and like reading a results sheet. It is free, plays in the browser with no account and no ads, and your result can be shared as a row of coloured squares and arrows.

How to play Racerdle

  1. Open Racerdle and look at the race classification: only positions and driver nationalities are shown at first.
  2. Pick a circuit from the Circuit name list and type the season into the Year box.
  3. Press Submit Guess: the circuit is marked green or red, and the year green or with an arrow up for a later season or down for an earlier one.
  4. Read the newly revealed column: laps after the first guess, constructors after the second, driver names after the third.
  5. Find both the circuit and the year within the five guess slots, then share your result.

Tips

  • Read the flags as a group: the mix of nationalities on the podium and in the points often places the race within a few seasons.
  • Use the year arrows as a binary search: a first guess in the middle of the era you suspect halves what is left.
  • A short laps count for many finishers means a lapped field or a race cut short, which can point to a particular circuit or wet race.

Questions

What time does Racerdle reset?

The page counts down to 08:30 UTC each day. The race itself is set in the site's code, and in October 2026 the same race stayed up for several days.

Do I need an account to play Racerdle?

No. The race plays in the browser without signing up, and your guesses and streak are kept in the browser.

How many guesses do I get?

The board has five guess slots, though the rules box says four attempts.

What do I have to guess in Racerdle?

Two things about one past Formula 1 race: the circuit where it was held and the year it was run.
