Pairdle Slide is a phone word puzzle from Logic Loft Games, the makers of Pairdle. Each board is a 6x6 grid of 34 letter tiles, every one half of a hidden four-letter word, and you slide halves into their partners until all 17 words lock together. The Daily Challenge gives everyone the same board each day, with a painting revealed behind it as you solve.
About Pairdle Slide
Pairdle Slide takes the letter pairs of Pairdle and puts them on a moving board. A board holds 34 tiles in a 6x6 grid: 17 four-letter words, each cut in two and scattered. Slide one half into its partner and the two lock into a word tile. The word list starts hidden, so you find each word by trying pairs, and real words that are not on the list count as bonus finds. Every board also hides a Secret Word.
The Daily Challenge is one board a day, the same for everyone, with an original watercolour-style painting behind it that shows through as the words lock in. A daily leaderboard ranks the day's board by moves, and an all-time board compares how you finish against everyone who played the same days. Tools help with stuck layouts: Reorg reshuffles the loose tiles, Clue points at a word and Reveal hands one over.
Around the daily sit a streak with up to three banked Streak Freezes, an Archive of missed days, a gallery that turns every nine solved dailies into a finished artwork, and Classic mode for fresh boards with no clock. Nearly a hundred theme packs and image packs are sold in the app, and solved pictures can be played again as classic sliding picture puzzles or sent to a friend as a link that opens in a browser.
Pairdle Slide came out in May 2026 as Logic Loft's third title, after "Pairdle" and "Epic Words". It is free on Android and on iPhone, though as of October 2026 the iPhone app is listed only in the Australian App Store (the US, UK and Canadian stores do not carry it); the Google Play listing says it contains ads and in-app purchases, and signing in with Apple or Google is optional.
How to play Pairdle Slide
- Open today's Daily Challenge from the home screen.
- Slide a letter tile into another to join the two halves of a four-letter word.
- When the pair spells one of the hidden words, the tiles lock together and part of the painting shows through.
- Keep sliding until all 17 words are found; use Reorg, Clue or Reveal when stuck.
- Finish the board to see the whole painting, then share your moves or replay.

Tips
- Look for common word starts and ends among the halves (TH, CH, ED, LL) before moving anything.
- Locked word tiles still take space on the grid, so plan slides that keep a lane open.
- Bonus words count too, and every board hides a Secret Word.
- Save Reveal for the last few words, when the fewest halves are left.
