on ovaldle.com

Ovaldle is a free daily NASCAR guessing game. Each day there is a mystery Cup Series driver to find in eight guesses, with every guess compared on car number, make, team, rookie year, wins, championships, crown jewel wins, age and home state. A Normal daily uses active drivers, an Expert daily reaches back to 1949, and the O'Reilly and Truck series have dailies of their own.
About Ovaldle
Ovaldle takes the attribute-guessing format of Poeltl and the game -dles to stock car racing. You type a driver's name, and the board shows how that driver compares with the hidden one across ten columns: car number, make, team, rookie year, Cup Series wins, championships, crown jewel wins, age and state or country. Green is an exact match, yellow is close, and arrows tell you to go higher or lower. On a phone each guess folds into a card of nine tiles under the driver's name.
There are two daily puzzles in the Cup Series. Normal Daily picks from the drivers marked active in the game's data, about 41 of them, which suits fans who follow the sport now. Expert Daily picks from all 199 drivers in the data, back to 1949, including Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon. A driver qualifies with five or more Cup wins, a title, a place on NASCAR's 75 Greatest Drivers list or real historical fame. Each daily has its own streak and stats, and a Clue button reveals one of the hidden driver's attributes when you are stuck. The day's answer is drawn at random from the pool using the date, so with a pool of about 41 active drivers the Normal answer comes round again within weeks.
The O'Reilly Auto Parts Series (the old Xfinity Series, still at /xfinity) and the Craftsman Truck Series have their own Ovaldle pages with Normal and Expert dailies of their own. Beside the dailies, Unlimited deals a new random driver each time, and Career reveals a driver's stat line one line at a time with the team shown last. A separate Trivia page is a NASCAR quiz. All stats count results in that series only, and retired drivers show the car, team and make from their last race.
There are no ads and no account. It suits NASCAR fans who know the field and its history; the Expert pool is a real test of long memory.

Tips
- Start with a mid-career active driver to split the rookie years and win counts.
- Car numbers can be shared by several drivers, which shows yellow rather than green.
- For retired drivers, team and make come from their last race, not their best-known ride.
- Crown jewel wins (Daytona 500, Coca-Cola 600, Southern 500, Brickyard 400) quickly separate the stars.
