Weddle is a daily guessing game for NFL fans. You name current players and each guess shows how its team, division, position, height, age and jersey number compare with the mystery player, until you find the day's answer. The same site runs daily draft, grid and word games, plus a version for each team.

About Weddle

Weddle is an NFL take on the player-guessing -dle. The daily Classic board starts empty with a search box: type the name of any current NFL player and the game shows how he compares with the day's mystery player, column by column, on team, division (which names the conference too), position, height, age and jersey number. A green cell is a match and a yellow one is close, and arrows on height, age and number point toward the answer. You have eight guesses to narrow it down.

The site, which now carries the ProDay banner, has grown into a family of football dailies. Weddle itself has Classic, Hard and Pro Bowl dailies and a daily for each of the 32 teams, and the menus add Draftles about the draft, Mossword, Units, three grid games, Scramble, 2 Minute Drill and Film Room, each with a daily and an unlimited mode. A College switch at the top swaps the NFL games for college football ones.

The games are free with ads and need no account.

How to play Weddle

  1. Open Weddle Classic and make sure Daily is selected.
  2. Type an NFL player's name and pick him from the list.
  3. Read the row. Green cells match the mystery player and yellow ones are close. The arrows on height, age and number show whether the answer is higher or lower.
  4. Use the clues to choose your next player, and find the answer within eight guesses.

Tips

  • Open with a player from a large division to learn conference and division at once.
  • Position plus height and age usually narrows the field faster than team.
  • Try a team's own daily if you know one roster well.
