MotionPath is a browser memory game: a dot sweeps across a grid, its trail fades, and you redraw the movement from memory in one stroke. The daily run gives everyone the same five paths, scored out of 500 on a shared leaderboard, and the same site has a Dot Memory mode and a sister game, BlindCut.
About MotionPath
MotionPath tests visual memory. In each round a dot moves across a gridded board, leaving a short trail that fades behind it. When it stops, you put your finger or mouse on the start point and redraw the movement in one continuous gesture. The game compares your line with the real one and scores the round.
The daily run has five rounds, built from the date in UTC, so every player meets the same paths on the same day. A full run is scored out of 500, and the site shows a daily leaderboard and how everyone's scores are spread. You play the daily once; after that, practice gives new paths without limit that do not count.
The home page switches between MotionPath and Dot Memory, where you put back dots that faded away, and links to the sister game BlindCut. Since October 2026 a combined leaderboard tracks scores across games. The game plays well on a phone and a desktop, needs no account, and shows Google ads. It is made by Vire Creative.
It suits players of Dialed's Shape or Time, or Afterglow, who want a short daily test of memory for movement rather than words or numbers.
How to play MotionPath
- Open motionpath.app and press Daily challenge.
- Watch the dot move across the grid while its trail fades.
- When it stops, start on the marked point and redraw the movement from memory in one stroke.
- See your score for the round, then play the next of the five paths.
- At the end, compare your total out of 500 with the day's leaderboard, then use practice for more rounds.

Tips
- Watch the turning points rather than the whole curve; the straight parts between them are easy to rebuild.
- Keep your drawing speed steady so the shape does not get squeezed.
- Use a few practice rounds on a new device before the daily, since a mouse and a finger feel different.
