Krillion's daily dive on 18 October 2026: prompt 1 of 7, Name a fruit bigger than an apple, over a pixel-art sea with the answer box and a 25-second clock

Krillion is a daily game of uncommon answers. Everyone gets the same seven prompts, with 25 seconds to answer each, and an answer scores by how rare it is: obvious ones barely count. Your total is drawn as a dive into the ocean, from the surface toward the trench floor.

About Krillion

Krillion is a short daily game built on the same idea as the TV quiz Pointless. Each day brings seven prompts, the same for every player, such as naming a fruit bigger than an apple, and you have 25 seconds to type one answer to each. The answer has to fit the prompt, but the points come from rarity: a common answer is rated a Schooler and sinks you only a little, while one hardly anyone would think of drops you much further.

The score is drawn as a dive. You start at a small boat on the surface and sink with each prompt, passing depth markers such as the midnight zone and anglerfish territory on the way down to the trench floor. Each prompt also has a Krillion, a gem answer picked both for rarity and for being fun to land on.

The game was launched in July 2026 by a solo developer who goes by kp, and the dives are numbered from that first day. Answer sets are gathered from dictionaries, encyclopedias and other sources, and the autocorrect is generous with spelling. Beyond the daily dive the site has an unlimited mode, an archive of every past dive, themed packs (words, movies, sports and geography, free during their beta), a friends list and a profile with streaks.

The daily is free to play with no account. The site shows ads; any paid unlock turns them off across the whole site. Krillion works on a phone and a desktop alike and suits players who enjoy thinking sideways more than recalling the obvious fact.

How to play Krillion

  1. Open krillion.io and press Begin Descent to start today's dive.
  2. Read the prompt and type one answer that fits it before the 25-second clock runs out, then press Dive.
  3. See how rare your answer was and how far it sank you, then press Descend for the next prompt.
  4. Answer all seven prompts, aiming each time for a valid answer few other players will think of.
  5. Check your final depth and score, share it or compare it with friends, and come back after midnight Eastern Time for the next dive.

Tips

  • The first answer that comes to mind is usually the one most people give; take a second to think of a less obvious one.
  • Make sure the answer clearly fits the prompt; a rare answer only helps if it is accepted.
  • Keep an eye on the 25-second clock rather than chasing the perfect obscure answer.
  • Play the archive, unlimited mode or the themed packs to get a feel for how rarity is judged.

Is Krillion free?
