HONICIAN Daily is the browser board of the Android puzzle game HONICIAN. You place small pieces of coloured orbs on an 8 by 8 grid of octagons; full rows do nothing, but five or more matching orbs touching, diagonals included, clear and score. Everyone plays the same board with the same pieces, once a day, and a new one arrives at midnight UTC.

About HONICIAN Daily

HONICIAN is a puzzle game by Ivan Di Gregorio, set on a neon coral reef. Its rule turns the usual block puzzle around: filling a row clears nothing. Instead, when five or more orbs of the same colour touch, diagonals counted, the group bursts and scores, and chaining clears builds a combo.

HONICIAN Daily is the free browser version of one mode. It shows a single board for the day, an 8 by 8 grid of octagons with orb pieces waiting below, and every player in the world gets the exact same pieces in the same order. You place them until the board can take no more, then share your score. One play counts: come back after finishing and the page tells you that you have already played and that a new board arrives at midnight UTC.

The browser board is the daily puzzle and nothing else. The Android game adds an Endless mode, a Daily Duel against the same seeded board, special Joker and Black Orbs, the Fairy and Witch events that answer big combos, a diary of rewards and Google Play Games leaderboards.

It suits players of Blockudoku and other placement puzzles who want a one-minute daily where colour groups, not lines, are the goal.

How to play HONICIAN Daily

Open today's board in the browser; it is the same for everyone.
Drag one of the waiting orb pieces onto the 8 by 8 grid.
Build groups of five or more orbs of one colour that touch, diagonals included, to clear them and score.
Chain clears to raise your combo for bigger points.
Keep placing pieces until none fits, then share your score.

Tips

Rows never clear, so do not fill lines for their own sake: keep each colour's orbs next to each other.
Diagonals count, so a corner contact can complete a group of five.
Leave space near groups of four of a colour, since the next piece of that colour finishes them.
Clearing several groups in a row raises the combo, which is worth more than single clears.

When does the HONICIAN Daily board change?

At midnight UTC. Every player gets the same board and pieces that day.

Can I replay the daily board?

No. The page remembers that you have played and shows your score until the next board.

What is the difference from the Android game?

The browser board is only the daily puzzle. The Android app adds Endless mode, Daily Duel, Joker and Black Orbs, the Fairy and Witch, and Google Play leaderboards.
