GeoRankle is Geotrivia's daily ranking game. Eight countries appear one at a time with their flags, and you place each in one of eight categories, from area and population to Olympic medals or the FIFA ranking. Each category can be used once, and your score depends on how high each country ranks in the category you chose.
About GeoRankle (Geotrivia)
GeoRankle gives everyone the same numbered round each day, in a World edition and a Europe edition. On 21 October 2026 it was No. 278 and opened with Ethiopia. Below the flag sits a list of eight categories that changes from day to day; that day it was the men's FIFA ranking, UNESCO sites, homicide rate, Olympic medals, capital population, happiness index, area and military strength. Other days bring GDP per capita, coastline, tourism arrivals, median age or highest point.
Pick the category where you think the country ranks best in the world, and its rank is filled in beside the flag (Ethiopia is #26 for area), then the next country appears. The skill is in timing: a country with a huge coastline belongs in Coastline, but if a later country would rank even higher there, you may have spent it too early. After eight countries every category is filled and your points are tallied.
GeoRankle is one of six daily games on Geotrivia, beside GeoSize, Geodle, GeoDecide, GeoConnections and GeoPaint, all numbered and played in the browser or in the Geotrivia app for iOS and Android, in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. They are free with ads and need no account; friends added by a code appear together on the daily leaderboards, and a Pro subscription removes the ads and opens the archive of past days.
It suits geography players who enjoy statistics more than maps, and anyone who likes a short planning puzzle with a fresh set of countries each day.

- Read the country and its flag at the top, and the eight categories below it.
- Pick the category where you think the country ranks highest in the world; its rank is filled in.
- The next country appears; each category can be used only once.
- Fill all eight categories and see your points.

- Read all eight categories before the first pick, and think about which countries could top each one.
- Save categories where a few countries are far ahead (military strength, Olympic medals) for a country that is clearly near the top.
- Small countries often rank well in per-capita and rate categories.
- Large countries are natural fits for area and coastline, but a later giant may fit there better.
