Football Grid (GridSport)
Rate itFill a daily 3x3 grid with footballers who fit both the row and the column, league by league.
on gridsport.games

Football Grid on GridSport.Games is a daily 3x3 football puzzle in the Immaculate Grid style. Rows and columns name clubs, countries, trophies or achievements, and each cell wants a player who fits both. Eighteen leagues each get their own grid, new every day at 05:00 UTC, free and with no sign-up.
About Football Grid (GridSport)
GridSport.Games, made by Qubit10, runs three daily football formats, and Football Grid is its take on the 3x3 sports grid. Each puzzle has three row clues and three column clues, shown as club badges, flags or trophy and achievement labels, and you fill each of the nine cells with a player who fits both of its clues. A player can be used only once.
There is a separate grid for each of eighteen leagues and pools: a Big 5 Leagues grid, the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1, and further afield the Super Lig, Eredivisie, Primeira Liga, Ekstraklasa, the Brasileirao, Liga Argentina, the Saudi Pro League, K League 1, J1 League and others. All of them are generated fresh at 05:00 UTC each day and dated. You search for a player by name, and if he fits a cell he drops into it with his photo; a counter shows how many of the nine you have. Wrong guesses cost nothing, but after five of them Pick Mode opens: tap an empty cell and it offers four players, one of them right. A Give Up button ends the grid.
Once a grid is done you can share it or replay it, and the site's Football Bingo and Football Wordle use the same leagues and reset time. The site and its Android app can be played in 18 languages. It suits fans who know where players have been across their careers, and the single-league grids keep the field narrow enough for a fan of one league.

Tips
- Start with the cell whose two clues are rarest together; the easy cells can wait.
- Players who moved between clubs often make the club-club cells.
- Keep a well-travelled player in reserve for the hardest cell, and remember that five misses unlock Pick Mode if you are stuck.
