Play Flagle

on flagle.io

Flagle #1711 after three guesses: the bottom row of the six-tile flag shows a white band and a white crescent on green, with distance, direction and percent for Japan, Brazil and France

Flagle hides a country's flag and shows you more of it with every guess. Each miss also tells you how far away the answer is, in which direction and how close you are as a percentage. Once you have the country, bonus rounds ask about its shape, emblem, capital, neighbours, population and currency.

About Flagle

Flagle is the flag game from Teuteuf Games, the studio that makes Worldle. It came out in February 2022 and works the same way as its sister game, with a flag in place of a country outline. The site is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Hungarian and Japanese.

Each day there is one mystery flag. You type a country or territory, and every wrong guess uncovers another part of the flag and shows the distance from your guess to the answer, an arrow pointing toward it and a proximity percentage. You have six guesses, so the challenge is to use the colours and shapes you can see along with the map hints.

Getting the country right opens the bonus rounds: pick the country's shape, its coat of arms or emblem, the flag of its capital, the flags of its neighbours, and a short quiz on population and currency. They add a few minutes and teach you a lot about one place each day.

Flagle suits people who know their flags but often mix up the similar ones, such as the many red, white and blue tricolours. The daily game is free with ads; a Teuteuf Games premium membership removes ads and opens the archive of past puzzles.

How to play Flagle

  1. Type a country or territory in the box and press Guess. The first guess uncovers the first of six tiles.
  2. Read the distance, the arrow and the proximity percentage your guess gets, then look at the tile that just opened.
  3. Keep guessing until you name the flag or use all six tries.
  4. Press Play bonus round to answer questions on the same country: its shape, emblem, capital flag, neighbours, and population and currency.

Tips

  • Use your first guess to learn the region; a country in the middle of a continent makes the arrow more useful.
  • Watch for stars, crescents, crosses and emblems as soon as they appear; they narrow the choice more than colours do.
  • Many flags share the same colours, so trust the distance and direction when the visible stripes could fit several countries.
  • Remember that territories can be the answer too, not only independent countries.

Questions

Is Flagle free?

Teuteuf Games, the studio behind Worldle and Travle.

What are the Flagle bonus rounds?

After you find the country you can guess its shape, its emblem, the flag of its capital, the flags of its neighbours, and its population and currency.
