Fights in Tight Spaces is a deck-building tactics game set in action-movie brawls. Each card is a move, such as a throw, a kick or a shove, and you place your agent on a small grid of enemies to knock them out. Beside the main campaign, Daily Play gives everyone the same hard challenge each day and ranks the scores on a leaderboard.
About Fights in Tight Spaces
Fights in Tight Spaces is a deck-building tactics game by the British studio Ground Shatter. It came out on Steam, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in December 2021 after an Early Access period, and on Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in May 2023. You play an agent of Section Eleven, an outfit that deals with criminal gangs in person. Fights take place in cramped rooms, lifts, trains and bars, drawn in a stark white, black and red style.
Each turn you draw a hand of cards and spend momentum to move, strike, throw enemies into each other or push them off ledges, while markers show what each enemy will do next. Between fights you build your deck, upgrade cards and pick enhancements, and levels can carry extra objectives such as guarding a target or finishing within a set number of turns.
Daily Play is the daily hook. The developer describes it as a new and difficult challenge every day, with a leaderboard to compete on with friends and the wider community. A day's challenge is a run of fights against enemies from the game's gangs, the same for every player.
The game has kept getting updates and expansions: Weapon of Choice in 2023, K9 Division in September 2025 and the Halloween-themed Frights in Tight Spaces in October 2025, with fixes into November 2025. A sequel, 2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces, went into Early Access in June 2026. It suits players of deck-builders who want positioning to matter as much as the cards.

Tips
- Positioning is half the game: a shove into another enemy often does more than a punch.
- Read every enemy intent before ending your turn.
- Keep your deck lean so key cards come up often.
- Optional objectives add to your score, so check them at the start of each fight.
