EightUp is a daily word game from RiddleCat. You get seven letters and eight short definitions, such as kettle mist, and spell each answer from those letters, working from the easiest clue to the hardest.

About EightUp

EightUp gives you one small set of letters for the whole day, laid out as seven tiles, and eight words to find with them. Each word comes with a short definition in place of a crossword clue, along with blanks for its length.

You tap tiles to spell the answer and press Guess. Letters can be used again from word to word, and the clues get harder as you go. A Hint button shows a letter when you are stuck, and Skip lets you come back to a clue later. A row of dots at the top tracks the eight words, solved, hinted or still open, and you can share a word or your result.

It takes a few minutes and suits players who like Spelling Bee's fixed letters but prefer to be told what word to look for.

How to play EightUp

Read the clue and count the blanks for the answer's length.
Tap the letter tiles to spell your answer and press Guess.
Use Hint to reveal a letter, or Skip to move on and come back.
Solve all eight words, easiest first, then share your result.

Tips

Short clues often point to everyday words: try the obvious answer first.
Look for common endings among the tiles, like -ER or -Y, before the first letter.
Skip a hard clue early; later answers can remind you of the letters' patterns.
