Deckades is a daily timeline game. You are dealt nine cards, events, films or inventions, and place each one before or after the cards already on the timeline. Three wrong placements and the run is over.
About Deckades
Deckades asks how well you know when things happened. Its daily puzzle deals a deck of nine cards across categories such as world history, cinema and tech, the same deck for every player that day. The timeline starts with one dated card, and each new card arrives without its year: you drag it onto a slot before, between or after the cards already placed.
A correct placement reveals the year and the timeline grows; a wrong one costs one of your three hearts. Getting all nine in place means judging not just rough eras but the order of things that happened close together, like a moon landing and a film release a few years apart.
The game plays in the browser and as a free iPhone app, Deckades: Guess the Year, made by Lukas Schneider. It was shared on Show HN in May 2026.
It suits players who like timeline card games and want one deck a day to share.
