DailyMetro Seoul is a daily station-guessing game on the Seoul subway, lines 1 to 9. Type any station and the game compares it with the hidden one: shared lines, the direction to it, the length of its name and its district. You have 8 guesses, and the day also has a map mode and a photo mode.
About DailyMetro Seoul
DailyMetro is a set of free browser games, one for each city's transit network, made by Eliott Gandiolle. The Seoul edition covers Seoul subway lines 1 to 9 and opens in Korean, with an English version at its own address.
Each day one station is the answer for everyone, under a day number. You start with any station you like and have 8 guesses. Each guess fills a row: the lines your station shares with the hidden one, an arrow saying which way the answer lies, whether its name has more or fewer letters, and whether it is in the same district (gu). Green is a match, orange is close and red is a miss. At the fourth guess the game shows you the answer's line, and a button lets you give up and look at the map.
Before the first guess you choose Normal, with letter, district and hint clues, or Connoisseur, which trades them for the opening year and passenger traffic and gives no hints. Beside the classic game, the Map mode asks you to place the day's station on the network and the Photo mode shows a station entrance to name. A streak counter, statistics and past days are kept in the browser, with no account.
It suits people who ride the Seoul subway every day, transit fans, and visitors who want to learn the network one station at a time.
How to play DailyMetro Seoul
- Open DailyMetro Seoul (Korean) or its English version and choose Normal or Connoisseur.
- Type any station in the box and pick it from the list to make your first guess.
- Read the row: shared lines, the arrow toward the answer, more or fewer letters, and the district.
- Pick a station that fits every clue so far, moving the way the arrow points.
- Find the station within 8 guesses, then try the Map and Photo modes for the same day or share your result.

Tips
- Open with a big transfer station such as Seoul Station or Jongno 3-ga: it covers several lines at once.
- When the district turns green, keep your next guesses inside that gu.
- Wait for the fourth guess if you are lost: the game shows the answer's line then.
- Try Connoisseur once you know the lines: year and traffic clues change how you narrow it down.
