DailyMetro San Francisco is a daily Wordle-style game about Muni Metro, the F-line streetcars and the cable cars. Type any stop and the game colours its lines, the direction to the target, the length of its name and its area green, orange or red, guiding you to the day's stop in 8 guesses. Map and Photo rounds follow the Classic one.
About DailyMetro San Francisco
DailyMetro is a set of free browser games, one per city transit network. The San Francisco edition covers Muni Metro, the F-line streetcars and the cable cars, and is played in English.
Each day has one hidden stop and a day number, the same for everyone, drawn at midnight local time. You start with any stop you like and have 8 guesses. For each guess the board shows four clues: the lines it is on, an arrow pointing from your guess toward the target, the number of letters in its name with an arrow for longer or shorter, and its zone or district. Each clue turns green for a match, orange for a partial match or red for a miss. At guess 4 the game shows you the line of the answer.
Besides Classic, a Map round asks you to place the day's stop on the network map, and a Photo round asks you to recognise it from a picture of its entrance. Normal difficulty gives lines, direction, letters, zone and hints; Connoisseur swaps in harder clues such as opening year and traffic, with no hints. Past days can be replayed, a streak counter keeps your run, and no account is needed.
It suits locals and transit fans who know the network by heart, as well as visitors who want to learn it one stop at a time.
