DailyMetro Lille is a daily guessing game about Ilévia's VAL metro and the Mongy tramway. Type any station and the game colours its lines, the direction to the target, the length of its name and its area green, orange or red, so you can close in on the day's station within 8 guesses. Map and Photo rounds use the same station.
About DailyMetro Lille
DailyMetro is a family of free browser games, one per city, made by Eliott Gandiolle, an independent developer in Paris. The Lille edition covers Ilévia's VAL metro and the Mongy tramway. It opens in French and has an English version at /lille/en.
Each day has one hidden station and a day number, the same for everyone, and a new one comes at midnight Lille time. You start with any station you like and have 8 guesses. For each guess the board shows four clues in Normal difficulty: the lines it is on, an arrow pointing from your guess toward the target, the number of letters in its name with an arrow for more or fewer, and its zone. Each clue turns green for a match, orange for a partial match or red for a miss, and from the fourth guess the game shows you the line.
Besides Classic, a Map round asks you to place the station on the network plan and a Photo round shows a street entrance with the name blurred. Connoisseur difficulty swaps the easy clues for traffic and name origin and drops the hints. Past days can be replayed, a streak counter tracks your run, and no account is needed.
It suits locals and transit fans who know their network by heart, as well as visitors who want to learn it one station at a time.
How to play DailyMetro Lille
- Open DailyMetro Lille and pick Normal or Connoisseur difficulty.
- Type the name of any station in the Classic box to make your first guess.
- Read the clues: lines, direction to the target, number of letters and zone, each coloured green, orange or red.
- Use the arrow and shared lines to pick a station closer to the target; you have 8 guesses.
- Once you find it, try the Map and Photo rounds for the same day, then share your result.
