DailyMetro Brussels is a daily guessing game about the four STIB-MIVB metro lines (1, 2, 5 and 6). Type any station and the game marks its lines, the direction to the target, the length of its name and its area green, orange or red, until you find the day's station in 8 guesses. Map and Photo rounds follow.
About DailyMetro Brussels
DailyMetro is a family of free browser games, one per city, made by Eliott Gandiolle, an independent developer in Paris. The Brussels edition covers the four STIB-MIVB metro lines (1, 2, 5 and 6). It opens in French at /brussels and has an English version at /brussels/en, with station names shown in French and Dutch.
Each day has one hidden station and a day number, the same for everyone, and a new one is drawn at midnight Brussels time. You start with any station you like and have 8 guesses. For each guess the board shows four clues: the lines it is on, an arrow pointing from your guess toward the target, the number of letters in its name with an arrow for more or fewer, and its zone. Each clue turns green for a match, orange for a partial match or red for a miss. At guess 4 the game shows you the line.
After Classic come two more rounds on the same station: Map, where you place it on the network plan, and Photo, where you name it from a picture of its entrance. Normal difficulty gives hints, while Connoisseur swaps in harder clues such as distance, traffic and name origin. Past days can be replayed, a streak counter tracks your run, and no account is needed.
It suits locals and transit fans who know their network by heart, as well as visitors who want to learn the Brussels metro one station at a time.
How to play DailyMetro Brussels
- Open DailyMetro Brussels (in French, or /brussels/en in English) and pick Normal or Connoisseur difficulty.
- Type the name of any station in the box to make your first guess.
- Read the clues: lines, direction to the target, number of letters and zone, each coloured green, orange or red.
- Use the arrow and shared lines to pick a station closer to the target; at guess 4 the line is shown.
- Find the day's station within 8 guesses, then play the Map and Photo rounds and share your result.

Tips
- Start with a central station on lines 1 and 5, such as De Brouckère or Gare Centrale: it tells you at once whether the target shares that trunk.
- Follow the direction arrow, then use the letter count to choose between nearby candidates.
- Use the network explorer to learn the lines before trying Connoisseur difficulty.
