DailyMetro Berlin is a daily guessing game about the Berlin U-Bahn. Type any station and the game colours its lines, the direction to the target, the length of its name and its district green, orange or red, guiding you to the day's station in 8 guesses. It plays in German, with an English version, and adds Map and Photo modes on the same day.
About DailyMetro Berlin
DailyMetro is a set of free browser games, one per city, made by Eliott, an engineer who builds them in his spare time. The Berlin edition covers the nine lines of the Berlin U-Bahn. Its main page is in German, and the same game is at /berlin/en in English.
Each day has one hidden station and a day number, the same for everyone, and a new one comes at midnight Berlin time. You start with any station you like and have 8 guesses. For each guess the board shows four clues: the lines it is on, an arrow pointing from your guess toward the target, the number of letters in its name with an arrow for longer or shorter, and its district. Each clue turns green for a match, orange for a partial match or red for a miss. From the fourth guess the game shows you the target's line.
Besides Classic, a Map mode asks you to find the day's station on the map and a Photo mode shows its entrance, so a day has three rounds. The Normal difficulty keeps hints, while Connoisseur swaps the letter and district clues for traffic and name origin and drops the hints. A streak counter, a score card you can copy to share, and a list of past days to replay come with it, and no account is needed.
It suits Berliners and transit fans who know the network by heart, as well as visitors who want to learn it one station at a time.
How to play DailyMetro Berlin
- Open DailyMetro Berlin (in German, or /berlin/en in English) and pick Normal or Connoisseur.
- Type the name of any U-Bahn station to make your first guess.
- Read the clues: lines, direction to the target, number of letters and district, each coloured green, orange or red.
- Use the arrow and shared lines to pick a station closer to the target; from guess 4 the target's line is shown.
- Find the station within 8 guesses, then share your score and try the day's Map and Photo rounds.
