Today's Animedle Anime Classic board on desktop: a guess of Naruto compared by franchise, year, episodes, genres and studio, with locked hint cards above

Animedle is a daily anime guessing site with six modes. Three ask you to name the anime of the day, from its traits, four emoji or its opening song, and three ask you to name a character, from their traits, a pixelated image or a silhouette. It is free, needs no account and plays in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

About Animedle

Animedle splits its daily puzzles into anime modes and character modes. In Anime Classic you guess a series and compare its franchise, year, episode count, genres and studio with the answer; arrows point you to a later or earlier year and to more or fewer episodes. After a few misses it unlocks hints: the studio, then the first letter, then a short description. Emoji mode hides the anime behind four emoji that appear one at a time. Opening mode plays the show's opening song, and every wrong guess makes the clip longer.

The character side starts with Character Classic, where each guess is compared by power, species, gender, age, height and eye colour. Pixel mode shows a pixelated picture of the day's character that gets clearer after each miss, and Silhouette mode does the same with a blurred outline. Each mode keeps its own streak, and an Infinite tab gives extra rounds once the daily one is done.

Animedle launched in March 2026 in Spanish, added English and Brazilian Portuguese soon after, and has kept adding to it since: the Silhouette mode, a way to suggest anime for the roster, and a beta VS mode where you send a friend a link and race them on Anime Classic in real time. The same maker runs AnimeLink, a daily connections game of anime titles and characters.

It is free, needs no account and shows no ads. It suits anyone who watches a broad range of anime, from Dragon Ball, Naruto and One Piece to Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer, rather than fans of a single series.

How to play Animedle

  1. Choose an anime mode or a character mode from the home page.
  2. Type a title or character name and pick it from the list to guess.
  3. Read the feedback: matching traits turn green, near ones orange, and arrows show whether a number is higher or lower.
  4. In Emoji, Opening, Pixel and Silhouette, each wrong guess reveals more of the clue.
  5. Find the answer, share your result, then move on to the other modes.
  6. Come back after midnight UTC-3 for six new puzzles.

Tips

  • In Anime Classic, the year and episode count narrow the field quickly once you know the studio.
  • If you are stuck, the studio hint unlocks after a few attempts in Anime Classic and often settles it.
  • Start Character Classic with a common species and power type to rule out large groups.
  • In Pixel and Silhouette, hair shape and outline often give a character away before the details do.
  • Play Opening mode with sound on and listen for the singer before guessing.
