Games like Poeltl: daily NBA guessing games
Poeltl hides one NBA player a day and gives you eight guesses, each compared on team, conference, division, position, height, age and jersey number. Several daily games use that same guess-and-compare format, and others test the same NBA knowledge through stat lines, grids, connections and teammate chains.
The games
No games here match your filters.
The closest games keep Poeltl's format: you name a player and see how each detail compares with the hidden one. NBA Wordle on Draft Challenger gives eight tries and compares team, conference, division, position, height, age and jersey number, very much like Poeltl, and adds a harder Classic board of fifteen guesses at a player from the archive. NBA Wordle on Dynasty Daddy gives ten tries across six categories, and three of those categories change each day, so the clues are not the same every time. Guess The NBA Player compares draft year, division, team, position, jersey number and country over ten tries. Sportsdle's NBA game gives ten attempts and opens a draft clue after five, and GuessCentral keeps it to five tries, with an NFL, MLB and NHL player beside it. Draft Challenger runs the same board for the WNBA too.
Two games change how the clues arrive. On CraftedNBA, Guess the Player starts you with 100 points and you spend them to reveal details such as rookie season, position, height and stats, with three guesses to name him. Sports Reveal works the same way for one NBA and one NFL player a day. Hoopler is the one to pick if "basketball Wordle" means letters: you spell the day's player's last name in six tries with green and yellow tiles. The Winfield Game mixes the NBA with MLB and NFL stars, so some days the answer is not a basketball player at all.
If you like working a player out from numbers, StatBox gives you one season's stat line and six guesses, and Ball Don't Cry shows three players a day as season-by-season tables with the team names hidden. I Called Game moves from players to a whole historic game, shown through video thumbnails.
For grids and groups, HoopGrids is a daily 3x3 board where each square needs a player who fits its row and column (our games like Immaculate Grid page has more of these), and NBA Connections sorts sixteen players into four groups. Dribble and Roster Relay ask you to link two players through teammates. Starting 5 wants the five starters of one team season, and Lineups the whole roster. Basketball 5, Statle, Statzle, Starting 5 Trivia, StatPad, Draft Dawg and PACT FIVE round it out with grids, stat calls, quizzes and lineup drafts, and Build a Hooper has you take one skill at a time from players on real team seasons and then simulates your made-up player's season.
Start with NBA Wordle on Draft Challenger if you want more of Poeltl itself, then add HoopGrids and Ball Don't Cry for a short daily NBA set. Every daily sports game we list is on our daily sports games page.
