Zebra Puzzles on Puzzleship is a daily logic puzzle in the Einstein riddle tradition. Each day brings six numbered puzzles, from very easy to ultra hard, each a titled scenario of people or things in a row with several attributes and a list of clues that allow exactly one arrangement. You fill in the grid from dropdowns and tick off clues as you use them.
About Zebra Puzzles (Puzzleship)
Puzzleship's Zebra Puzzles page publishes a numbered set each day, number 1023 on 19 October 2026, with six puzzles graded from very easy (one bulb) to ultra hard (six bulbs). Each comes with a titled scenario. On 19 October the very easy one, Consulates Along the Avenue, had four consulates side by side on a street, each with a colour, a country, a consul and a staff count, and twelve clues such as The consulate representing Portugal is in the last position. The ultra hard one lined up five authors with seven attributes each, from shirt and title to publisher, protagonist, antagonist and page count.
You solve on a grid with a column for each position and a dropdown for each attribute, ticking off clues as you use them, with undo, redo and reset. An item you assign is taken out of the other columns for you. Clues are either positional (in the second position, at one of the ends, somewhere to the left of) or link two attributes, and no step needs a guess. Puzzleship calls the zebra puzzle the original of the form, the riddle usually credited to Einstein, and the least restricted version: the cast changes completely from day to day rather than staying a row of houses.
Each day's set goes up at 13:00 UTC, though the page text says 00:00 your time. Past days stay in the archive, and printable booklets are sold separately. The site shows ads, with a paid Premium plan to remove them. It sits among Puzzleship's daily logic games, beside Einstein Riddles, House Puzzles, Einstein Enigmas and Logic Puzzles.
How to play Zebra Puzzles (Puzzleship)
- Pick a level from the six bulb tabs above the grid, from one bulb (very easy) to six (ultra hard).
- Read the scenario and the attributes: positions plus, for example, colour, country, name and a number.
- Fill in what positional clues state outright, such as a country in the last position.
- Combine linked clues to rule out options, ticking each clue off as you use it.
- Fill every dropdown so that all clues hold; there is exactly one solution.
- Use the arrows or Browse Archives to play past days.

Tips
- Start with clues that name a position outright, such as in the third position or at one of the ends.
- Chain clues that share an attribute: if Mark works at the yellow consulate and Mark's consulate has 35 staff, the yellow consulate has 35 staff.
- Watch for left of and next to clues, which limit positions without fixing them.
- If you get stuck, list the remaining options for one attribute and test each against the clues.
