Wordlander is a free daily word game from Klurium played on a 4x4 board of letter tiles. You chain three or more touching letters into a word, those tiles vanish, and the letters above drop while new ones fall in from a queue. The day is won when every stone in the tower has sunk to the bottom row and crumbled.
About Wordlander
Wordlander is one of the free daily games on Klurium, a small site of word and history games. Everyone gets the same numbered tower each day: the same 4x4 opening board, the same queue of 56 letters in all (the next five show above the board) and the same stones to bring down. The first tower was Day #1 on 12 August 2026.
You drag across touching tiles, diagonals included, to chain a word of three letters or more. The tiles you use disappear, everything above falls into the gap, and new letters drop in from the queue. A stone stands on the board from the start and more arrive with the queue. No word can use a stone. It only sinks when you clear the letters beneath it, and once it reaches the bottom row it grinds to dust for 30 points. Some stones are green diamonds that pay a bonus too.
The line under the board keeps your score, yesterday's score, your streak, the day's top score and how many letters are left. You can start over, end the day when you are stuck, add a name to the top list or to the list of players who cleared the tower, open older towers from the archive and look back at the words you have found. Tapping a word shows its definition from Wiktionary.
The maker sometimes gives a day an earlier tower that played well in place of a fresh one, so a regular player will meet a few towers twice. It suits players who like SpellTower and other falling-letter games but want a short puzzle with one clear goal. Your progress stays in the browser and no account is needed.
How to play Wordlander
- Open wordlander.klurium.com and look at today's board and the Next queue above it.
- Drag across touching letters, diagonals too, to chain a word of three or more letters.
- Let go to play it. The tiles vanish, the letters above fall, and new ones drop in from the queue.
- Clear the letters under each stone so it sinks. A stone that reaches the bottom row turns to dust.
- Bring every stone down before the letters run out. Press I'm done if no word is left.

Tips
- Keep the columns under your stones open. A stone you cannot dig under is the usual way to lose.
- A short word in the right column often does more than a long word elsewhere.
- Check the Next queue before you play, since those letters land on top of the column you clear.
Questions
Is the tower the same for everyone?
Yes. Each day has one numbered tower for every player, picked by the date, with a top list of scores and a list of the players who cleared it.
When does a new tower come out?
At midnight on your own device's clock, since the game picks the tower by your local date.
When is the day cleared?
When every stone has reached the bottom row and crumbled, not when the letters run out.
Can I play older towers?
Yes. The Older towers list opens earlier days.
