Werdle is a Wordle-style daily word game from Bludle. You get five tries instead of six to find the shared five-letter word, and any five letters are accepted as a guess. A Practice mode offers unlimited extra rounds.
About Werdle
Werdle keeps the familiar rules: type five letters, and each turns green if it is in the right spot, amber if it is in the word somewhere else, and grey if it is not in the answer. Two things differ. You have five tries rather than six, and guesses do not need to be real words, so you can type any combination of letters to test patterns.
The daily word is the same for everyone, picked by the UK date and shown at the top of the board, so a new one arrives at midnight UK time. Stats track games played, win rate, streak and best streak, and you can share your result. Practice mode gives as many extra rounds as you like.
The game's page says solving reveals the word's origin, but when we solved the daily no origin was shown, only a congratulation and the stats. Werdle is a Bludle original, one of several games on bludle.com, and is free in the browser with no sign-up; the site carries Google ads below the game after a consent notice.
How to play Werdle
- Open Werdle on bludle.com and stay on Daily.
- Type any five letters; they do not need to make a real word.
- Read the colours: green is the right letter in the right spot, amber is in the word elsewhere, grey is not in it.
- Find the word within five tries.
- Share your result, or switch to Practice for more rounds.
