UFClue on 26 October 2026 solved in three guesses: rows for Leon Edwards, Merab Dvalishvili and the answer Aiemann Zahabi, with green and yellow cells, arrows and the countdown to the next fighter

UFClue is a free daily guessing game about UFC fighters. Each day one fighter is picked from the ranked fighters of every division, and you have ten guesses to find them, with each guess compared on division, age, wins, losses and height.

About UFClue

UFClue is a browser game that takes the idea of Wordle and applies it to the UFC. Instead of a word, the answer is a fighter, and the pool is kept to fighters who hold a ranking in one of the eleven divisions, 174 of them in the game's data, so the answer is someone a regular viewer has a fair chance of knowing. The page header says the data was updated as of 15 June 2025.

Every day a new fighter is picked, the same for everyone on that date. You type a name into the search box and choose a fighter from the list, and a row appears in the table with that fighter's division, age, wins, losses and height in inches. A green cell is an exact match with the day's fighter. A yellow cell on age, wins, losses or height means you are within two, and the number cells carry an arrow pointing up or down toward the right value. The table also has a Country column, but at present it shows a blank green bar for every fighter, so it gives no clue.

You have ten guesses. When you find the fighter, the page names them and counts down to the next pick at your local midnight; if you run out of guesses, it tells you who it was. A stats panel keeps your games played, wins, current streak and longest streak in the browser, with no account needed.

It suits MMA fans who follow the rankings closely and like narrowing down a name by weight class and record. Because the pool is ranked fighters only, knowing who sits in each division's top fifteen helps more than knowing career trivia. The pool is small, so the same fighter can come round again within a few weeks.

How to play UFClue

  1. Open UFClue and type a fighter's name into the Guess the fighter box.
  2. Pick a fighter from the list to add a row with their division, age, wins, losses and height.
  3. Read the colours: green is an exact match, yellow on a number means it is off by two or less, and the arrows show whether the answer is higher or lower.
  4. Clear the box and use what you learn to narrow your next guess, finding the fighter within ten guesses.
  5. Check Stats for your streak and come back after the countdown for the next fighter.

Tips

  • Start with a fighter from a middle weight class so the division and height columns tell you which way to move.
  • Only ranked fighters are in the pool, so think through each division's rankings rather than retired names.
  • A yellow wins or losses cell means the record is within two, which can quickly separate fighters in the same division.
  • Ignore the Country column for now: it shows green for every fighter and carries no information.
  • Height in inches narrows the weight class fast once the division turns green.

Questions

How many guesses do I get in UFClue?

Ten.

Which fighters can be the answer?

Only fighters ranked in a UFC division, 174 of them in the game's data, according to the game's notes.

When does a new fighter appear?

At midnight on your device's local time; after you solve it, the page counts down to the next pick.

What does a yellow cell mean?

On age, wins, losses or height, it means your guess is off by at most two.

Why is the Country column always green?

The game's fighter data currently has no hometowns, so the column shows a blank green bar for every guess and gives no clue.

Is it free?

Yes. It plays in the browser with no account and no ads, and your stats are kept on your device.
