Two|Fold board for October 18, 2026: a girl measured for height at a fairground beside a boy counting eight tangerines, above empty letter slots and an alphabet keyboard

Two|Fold shows you five pairs of paintings a day. Each pair depicts two words that are one letter apart, and your job is to spot the single letter that changes. Collect all five of those letters and arrange them to spell the day's word.

About Two|Fold

Two|Fold is a free daily word game with an unusually calm, painterly style. Each day it presents five pairs of paintings, and the whole puzzle is shared: everyone sees the same art and works toward the same answer.

Every pair shows two words that differ by exactly one letter: take one letter out of the first word and you have the second (a height marker beside a bowl of eight tangerines gives H). You study the two paintings, work out the word each one depicts, and find the single letter that separates them. That letter is the one you keep. Each clue offers two hints if you get stuck, and you can tap a painting to look closer.

Once you have gathered the differing letter from all five pairs, you have five letters in hand. You then arrange those five letters into the day's answer word, drawing on a simple on-screen alphabet. Finishing lets you share your result and revisit the paintings.

A new set arrives at midnight UTC, and the page has no ads and no sign-up. It suits players who enjoy visual riddles and word play and want a slower, quieter daily puzzle rather than a timed race.

How to play Two|Fold

  4. Gather that differing letter from all five pairs.
  5. Arrange your five letters into the day's answer word.

Tips

  • Tap a painting to zoom in; small details often fix which word is meant.
  • Each clue has two hints, so save them for the pair you find hardest.
  • Once you have the five letters, think of common words they could spell before arranging them.
