The Triplets board for 29 October 2026 on a phone: a 2:57 timer, three empty slots, eighteen cards of shapes in red, green and blue, and a 0 / 9 counter

Triplets is a daily pattern game in the style of the card game Set. Each card has a shape, colour, fill and count, and three cards make a triplet when every one of those is either the same on all three or different on all three. You start with three minutes, and each triplet you find adds ten seconds.

About Triplets

Triplets takes the rules of the card game Set and turns them into a timed daily board. Every card shows one, two or three icons, and each icon has a shape (triangle, circle or square), a colour (green, blue or red) and a fill (outline, shaded or solid). Pick three cards and check each of the four attributes: if every attribute is either all the same or all different across the three cards, you have a triplet.

The day's board lays out eighteen cards, shuffled from the date, and the board is the same for everyone on that date. How many triplets it hides changes from day to day, and a counter under the cards shows it (nine on 29 October 2026). You start with three minutes on the clock. Each correct triplet goes into the three slots at the top, scores, and adds ten seconds, so a fast start buys time for the harder ones at the end.

When the time is up you get your score and can share it. You can then carry on in free mode to find the triplets you missed, without changing the score. The site has a how-to-play page with worked examples, including the most common mistake: two cards sharing an attribute while the third differs.

A settings menu has an Easy Mode, which drops the fill and cuts the board to twelve cards, and a slider for the timer length. The site has no ads and asks for no account, and a small coffee link in the corner is its only request.

It suits players who like quick visual logic and anyone who has played Set at the table and wants one shared board a day.

How to play Triplets

  1. Press Start to deal the day's eighteen cards and start the three-minute clock.
  2. Pick three cards you think form a triplet.
  3. Check each attribute (shape, colour, fill, count): it must be all the same or all different on the three cards.
  4. A correct triplet scores and adds ten seconds. Keep finding them until time runs out or the counter is full.
  5. After the clock stops, share your score or keep playing in free mode to find the rest.

Tips

  • Pick any two cards: the third card that completes them is fixed, so look for it on the board.
  • Check the attribute that is hardest to see, usually fill, first.
  • Triplets where everything differs are easy to miss; look for them once the obvious ones are gone.

Questions

Is the Triplets board the same for everyone?

Yes. The cards are shuffled from the date, so every player sees the same board on the same day.

How long do I have?

Three minutes by default, plus ten seconds for each triplet you find. The settings let you change the timer length.

How many triplets are there?

It changes each day. The counter under the board shows how many the day's cards hold, and it read nine on 29 October 2026.

Is there an easier version?

Easy Mode in the settings removes the fill and deals twelve cards instead of eighteen.
