The Daily Path is a daily number puzzle for iPhone. Each day's grid of digits has a Start, a Finish and a target total; you trace a route between them, every number you visit adds to your total, and only one route hits the target exactly. Everyone gets the same puzzle.
About The Daily Path
The Daily Path shows a grid of single digits, with one cell marked Start and another marked Finish, and a target number above it. You build a route from Start to Finish one cell at a time. Every number you step on is added to your running total, and the route is only correct if it reaches Finish with the total exactly on target. Each puzzle has a single valid solution, so the challenge is finding that one route among the many that come close.
The puzzle is dated and the same for everyone each day. As you move, the path is highlighted and the amount left to reach the target updates; a route that misses is shown in red, and you can undo or reset at any time. For an extra challenge you can hide the remaining total and keep the sum in your head.
The app tracks days played, puzzles solved, a daily streak and a solved streak, with levels based on your best solve streak, and syncs progress across devices through iCloud.
The Daily Path is made by Paul Robertson and came out in June 2026. It is free with no ads, subscriptions or hidden costs, and keeps its data on your device or in your own iCloud account.
How to play The Daily Path
- Open The Daily Path and note the target total.
- Start on the Start cell and step from cell to cell toward Finish.
- Watch the remaining total: every number you visit is added to your sum.
- Undo or reset if the route cannot land on the target.
- Reach Finish with the total exactly on target to solve the day.

Tips
- Work out roughly how many cells the route needs by comparing the target with the average digit.
- Zeros are free steps: use them to reach the Finish without changing the total.
- Plan backwards from Finish as well as forwards from Start.
- Hide the remaining total only once you are comfortable keeping the sum yourself.
