About Tents and Trees
Tents and Trees is a version of the classic grid logic puzzle by Frozax Games. The Steam release came out in April 2024 for Windows. The same game is also sold on the Epic Games Store, GOG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox. A free phone app called Tents and Trees Puzzles has been on iOS and Android since 2018.
Each level is a grid with some trees in it and a number at the end of every row and column. You place exactly one tent next to each tree, horizontally or vertically, so that each row and column holds the stated number of tents. Tents may not touch each other, not even diagonally. Every level has exactly one solution, so it can always be solved by reasoning.
The fixed levels number in the hundreds and grow larger as you go. A 2024 update added 480 grids from 13x13 up to 20x20. Daily packs open once you have solved 50 levels, with an easy and a hard pack each day. A Steam leaderboard counts how many daily packs each player finished in the last seven days. The hint system explains the next step of the reasoning instead of just filling a cell.
There is a local co-op mode for up to four players on one puzzle, plus themes, a dark mode and Steam Deck touch support. The paid versions show no ads. The free phone app shows ads and sells in-app purchases, according to its Google Play listing.

- Keep tents from touching, even diagonally, until the grid is complete.
