Super Auto Pets

Super Auto Pets is made by Team Wood Games and has been on Steam since September 2021. It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux through Steam, on iPhone and Android, and in a browser build on itch.io. It is a relaxed take on the autobattler: each turn you spend gold in a shop on cute pets with special abilities, arrange them in a line, then watch the battle play out by itself.

The main modes are online. Arena is a calm asynchronous mode with no timers, where you try to reach ten wins before running out of hearts. Versus is a live game for up to eight players. Standard packs give everyone the same pool of pets, custom packs let you build your own pool, and weekly packs, generated every Monday, give everyone a random set.

Daily Mode turns the game into a shared challenge. Fourteen teams of pets have become villains with moustaches, and you build your team in the shop to beat them one after another. Every player faces the same teams that day, and the teams change daily, so the question is which build gets furthest against this particular line-up. A daily leaderboard compares your result with everyone else's.

The game is free to play with no ads. Expansion packs and a Plus subscription are optional purchases. It suits players who like strategy without time pressure, and anyone who wants a short daily match-up against fixed opponents.
