Summit Triad #73, 21 October 2026, at phone size: the pyramid with one teal triangle placed beside two given tiles, 1 of 10 valid, and the twelve-tile bank below

Summit Triad is a daily visual logic puzzle from the maker of the word game Summit. A pyramid of fifteen spaces holds three given tiles, and you place the other twelve from the bank so that every one of its ten outlined triangles follows the rule of Set: colour, shape and count each all alike or all different. One pyramid a day, the same for everyone, with a timer, streaks and an archive.

About Summit Triad

Summit Triad uses the rule made famous by the card game Set. Each tile has three traits, its colour (teal, amber or red), its shape (triangle, diamond or circle) and its count of one to three shapes, and three tiles make a valid group when, for every trait, they are all alike or all different.

The board is a pyramid of fifteen numbered spaces, three of them given, which together form ten smaller triangles of three tiles each, such as 1-2-3, 2-4-5 and 3-5-6. Only the outlined triangles that point upward have to be valid. You drag tiles from the bank into the pyramid, or tap a tile and then its destination, and use each tile once. Because tiles sit in more than one triangle, tile 5 for instance must work in 2-4-5, 3-5-6 and 5-8-9 at once, every placement narrows the options around it.

The built-in guide suggests starting from two known tiles and working out the missing one a trait at a time, and ruling out candidates that would need a tile no longer in the bank. If you are stuck you can reveal a tile at the cost of an extra minute. There is one pyramid a day, the same for everyone, numbered from #1 on 10 August 2026 and new at midnight US Eastern time. A timer runs while you play, the finished time can be shared as a result card, and the archive lists every past pyramid with your times, average and longest streak. There are no ads and nothing to sign up for.

It suits fans of Set and of calm visual deduction, and players of the word puzzle Summit from the same maker.

How to play Summit Triad

  1. Look at the pyramid, its three given tiles and the twelve tiles in the bank.
  2. Drag a tile into a space, or tap it and then tap the space.
  3. Make each outlined upward triangle valid: for each trait, all alike or all different.
  4. Check that every tile works in every triangle it belongs to.
  5. Place every tile once; reveal one if stuck, at the cost of a minute.

Tips

  • Where two tiles of a triangle are known, the third is fully determined trait by trait.
  • Rule out any candidate that needs a tile already used.
  • Fill the tiles shared by three triangles carefully; they constrain the most.

Questions

What does all alike or all different mean?

For each trait, the three tiles of a triangle must either all share it or all differ, as in the card game Set.

Do all triangles count?

Only the outlined triangles that point upward must be valid.

Can I get help?

Yes, you can reveal a tile at the cost of an extra minute.

When does a new Summit Triad come out?

At midnight US Eastern time; the game dates each pyramid by the New York date, and the page moves to the new one on its own.

Can I play past days?

Yes. The Archive button lists every pyramid since #1 on 10 August 2026, with your times and streak.
