Suffice (Mind Loft)
Rate itEight questions you never answer: decide whether two statements are enough.

Suffice is a free daily data sufficiency puzzle from Mind Loft. Each of its eight items gives a question and two statements, and your job is only to say whether the statements are enough to settle the question. Working out the actual answer is wasted time.
About Suffice (Mind Loft)
Suffice is a reasoning puzzle on Mind Loft, a free site of daily browser games, built on the data sufficiency format known from admissions tests such as the GMAT. Each day brings eight items, the same for every player.
Every item has a question and two statements. You are not asked for the answer. You are asked whether the statements give enough information to settle it. You answer three yes-or-no questions, whether statement (1) alone is enough, whether statement (2) alone is enough and, only when neither is, whether they are enough together, and they add up to one of the five classic answers. On the day we looked, the first item asked for the average of a list of five integers from 1 to 9, given its median and that no number repeats. The skill is knowing when you have enough, and stopping there. Calculating the value itself only costs time.
The header keeps your score and a clock, and the day's results go on the leaderboard. A new set goes up at midnight US Eastern Time, and Sundays bring the Sunday Edition, the biggest or hardest of the week.
It sits among Mind Loft's logic dailies with Paths, Plot and Docket, and suits players who like the reasoning behind a maths problem more than the arithmetic.
How to play Suffice (Mind Loft)
- Open mindloftdaily.com/suffice and press Start to see the first item.

Tips
- Test each statement on its own before combining them.
- Look for one counterexample: if two different answers fit, the information is not enough.
- Do not finish the calculation once you know it could be finished.
- Watch for hidden assumptions such as whole numbers or positive values; the question decides what is allowed.
