Spellee (OwnSlides)
Rate itHear six English words a day and spell each one, from easy to brutal.
on ownslides.com

Spellee is a daily audio spelling bee from the language site OwnSlides. Six English words are read aloud, from everyday words to hard ones, and you type the spelling of each with one try per word. After each word you see its meaning and an example sentence.
About Spellee (OwnSlides)
Spellee is one of the daily games on OwnSlides, a language-learning platform. Each numbered day brings six English words in a ladder of difficulty, shown as six hexagons across the top of the screen. You press the large speaker button to hear the word, then type how it is spelled and submit.
There is one try per word and the audio can be replayed only three times, with a Slow button for a slower reading, so the game rewards careful listening. A sentence with the word blanked out sits under the speaker as a hint to which word is meant. After each answer the game shows whether you were right, what you typed, the word's meaning and an example, and you can save the word to your OwnSlides word list.
A new set of words appears at midnight UTC, with a countdown in the corner. You can play without an account and without ads; signing in keeps your streak and stats. OwnSlides also runs Speakle, a daily tongue-twister pronunciation game, and Citle, a guess-the-city game.
Spellee suits anyone who likes spelling bees, and English learners who want a short listening and spelling drill each day.
