on spcworld.world

SPC World publishes one jigsaw a day, cut from a public-domain painting such as Rembrandt's The Night Watch. You choose a 3x3, 5x5 or 7x7 grid, the pieces scatter with random rotation, and a reference picture shows only for a limited time. Finishing times go on a shared daily ranking.
About SPC World
SPC World is a browser jigsaw game built around a single painting a day. Each puzzle is numbered (edition 114 fell on 22 October 2026, Van Gogh's The Bedroom) and the same image goes out to every player, with the painting's title, artist and licence shown alongside it.
It is made by SPC World, LLC, a company registered in Wyoming. Its legal page says every image comes from the public domain, CC0 or museum open access collections, and keeps a ledger of where each one came from.
A day's puzzle starts with a choice of three sizes of the same painting: Quick (9 pieces), Standard (25) or Expert (49). The square pieces drop into a tray and the clock starts. You tap a piece, tap a square of the board, then use the left and right arrows to set which way it faces before it snaps in, so orientation is part of the puzzle. Two assist hints are on offer. Each painting is rated for complexity on a 1 to 50 scale, and the reference picture may be blurred and only stays on screen for a set time, after which you work from memory.
Besides the daily puzzle there are levels at every grid size from 3x3 to 9x9, a 35-stage campaign and a private DIY mode for your own pictures. The game is free in the browser with no account and, by its own words, no ads, and its menus come in eight languages. It suits people who want a short, calm puzzle with a bit of art history, and those who like racing a daily leaderboard.
How to play SPC World
- Open today's puzzle page and pick Quick, Standard or Expert to set the number of pieces.
- Press Start the round: the pieces scatter into the tray and the clock starts.
- Study the reference painting while it is shown; its reveal timer counts down and then it disappears.
- Tap a piece in the tray, then tap the square of the board where it belongs.
- Use the left and right arrows to turn the piece the right way; it snaps into place.
- Place the last piece to stop the clock and see your rank for the day.

Tips
- Look at the reference closely before it disappears, especially strong colours and edges.
- Place the corner and edge pieces first, then fill in from the brightest areas.
- On small grids a rotated piece is easy to miss, so check orientation before moving on.
